Paint is by far the cheapest decorating tool that will give you the most bang for your buck. when painting a small kitchen, you really need to be careful about the colors that you use. Darker colors tend to make a room look smaller while lighter colors make it look bigger. So for your tiny kitchen, yellows, whites, taupe and other light colors might be the best ones to consider.

And it’s not only the walls that you can make lighter. You want your countertops and cabinets to be light colors as well. If you have dark cabinets with a light-colored wall it might not look so hot, and the dark color of the cabinets could offset the lightning of the walls. You might consider standing or painting your cabinets a lighter color or refacing them.

Even the color of the appliances should be considered, so if you are purchasing new ones go for the lighter colored ones and if yours are old and kind of banged up try painting them with appliance paint in light colors. You don’t have to make everything in the kitchen the same color, but the colors should match and stay light and bright to make your tiny kitchen look bigger.

On the subject of appliances, if your kitchen is very small you don’t want to buy the biggest appliances out there. In fact, avoiding large, bulky appliances and buying slimmer and smaller models to make your kitchen look larger. This goes for the furniture to, you don’t want a big bulky pine table with large chairs if you can get away with a small café table with only two chairs.
