If it is not user-friendly (ergonomically designed) you may be triggering all kinds of chronic conditions that can affect their productivity such as carpal tunnel system or back pain. You should be able to adjust the height and flexibility of the chair in a number of ways. You will never regret a high quality chair as it will assist you from repetitive strain injuries where this can be a big problem.

When it comes to buying office furniture don’t forget to consider a filing cabinet. To prevent clutter from building up in the office a filing cabinet can keep all your papers organized and at one convenient location. If your papers deals with proprietary or private information also make sure that you buy a filing cabinet that has a lock on it.

Another thing to consider when buying office furniture is its price but don’t buy office furniture that is so cheap that it is downright ugly. There is nothing more depressing then second hand office chairs with stained fabric and broken adjustment mechanisms. The same thing goes for cold looking industrial metal desks and tables. Studies have shown that the more a person feels like a cog in a wheel the less. Investing in furniture that is made of wood, or glass is probably a better idea as these are cheerier, more modern takes on office furniture design.
